We took a quick Uber ride to the Borgata for their Burlesque show (which was AMAZING) and the Uber trips were quick to arrive and got us to our destination and back safely.
The nearest boardwalk shops were nothing special but once we got nearer to the Hard Rock area on the boardwalk the shops became more like what you expect from a boardwalk shop. However, we were right on the beach, with an ocean view, and the resort was on the boardwalk. We did not venture far beyond the resort so proximity to other attractions was not a priority for us.
Overall, the total was within our budgets so we were happy, but if you're budget conscious consider a weeknight stay instead of the weekend. Our stay was in mid-June and we booked about a month ahead of time. Wednesday and Thursday nights were less than $100 while Saturday night was nearly $400.
